 Joel Mackey - Artistic Director

Joel Mackey - Artistic Director:  Joel has been involved in performing for 35 years starting in 1977 as a percussionist for Sudbury Theatre Centre Young Company and assuming roles both backstage and on stage in a number of productions.  In 1981 he moved to Toronto to complete his education at George Brown College in Theatre.  It was there that his love of music and theatre came together.  Over the next decade he was involved in over 30 productions including two touring productions and one musical which he wrote and directed.  He then returned to Sudbury to raise a young family and in 2008 started Sudbury Youth Rocks Program.  

Greg Paul - Technical Director  

Greg Paul - Technical Director: Greg began playing music at 10 years old and has never stopped.  He toured Ontario twice as a member of Fated Prison and continues to write and perform with his current band Levelout.  Greg brings an expertise in recording and staging as owner/operator of S.B.L. Sound.  

Justin Rose - Assistant Artistic Director

Justin Rose - Assistant Artistic Director: Justin is only 18 years old and already brings a wealth of professionalism and a great work ethic to the project.  Justin has performed at numerous events in and around the City of Greater Sudbury including Little Montreals, Le Crac, Tedx@Nickelcity.  His ability to interact with the youth will be most welcome. 

 Victoria Catherine Brock - Vocal and Acting Coach

 After a year of soul-searching in Toronto, Victoria is back in Sudbury to continue to explore and be a part of the local music scene. She has worked with YES Theatre and performed Rent and Spring Awakening with them at the Sudbury Theatre Centre. Playing in a band, she has also performed at various venues around Sudbury, including her favourite place; Millards Garage. Throughout her life, music has always been there and it warms her heart to give back that gift to the talented kids at Sudbury Youth Rocks. ''One likes to believe in the power of music.''
